Dulce de Leche

Dulce2

Dulce de Leche — in Spanish, it’s literally translated to ‘Sweet of Milk’ and although it’s very similar to caramel, the authentic flavour is divinely different.

Dulce de Leche starts with a simple mixture of milk and sugar but is cooked for hours until it’s reduced to thick, creamy yumminess. True Dulce de Leche is complex and rich in its flavour.

Also known as ‘Milk Jam’ or ‘Confiture de Lait’, Dulce de Leche is perfect with fruit, on toast, pancakes, or waffles. Great with ice cream or just eat it with a spoon straight from the jar.

Carolina’s Dulce de Leche also makes a great addition to gift baskets or as a hostess gift.
